Spaghetti, Wine, & Bluebirds

Spaghetti, Wine, & Bluebirds

The obvious choices at the end of this workday were: 1) drive four hours on top of the four I drove in the morning or 2) spend a night in a bland hotel in a town where I was a stranger to all. Fortunately, halfway between 1 and 2 was the new home my baby brother and his girlfriend have recently established. I got to see my housewarming gift for them displayed on the kitchen wall (detail, above) and over wine and my brother’s spaghetti (“Recipes used: zero”), three busy professionals took a couple hours of their day to spend some quality time catching up.

“A house is made of walls and beams; a home is built with love and dreams.”
