Today’s my Saturday, and I’m spending it plowing (and sometimes meandering) through a mountain of laundry. But here’s the plus-side: Baseball’s on. I can’t remember a year when I’ve been more ready to be done with winter and welcome the American past-time. I invoke the great Rogers Hornsby (with a quote my brother, who shares this love, also is fond of invoking):
“People ask me what I do in winter when there’s no baseball. I’ll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring.” -Rogers Hornsby
